Hello there. I’m a UCSD graduate student of neuroscience focusing on the the role of neuropeptides and neural circuit properties that give rise to aggressive behaviors in fruit flies. So specific, I know! But that is the nature of science and I hope that my findings help inform what we know about brains in general. The Salk institute is where I spend most of my days working in the lab of Kenta Asahina. In my free time I make audio interviews of scientists, take pictures of insects I find around San Diego, and dote on my cat.
